2018 – Weird Ear “Fantastic Voyage” Tour
Scy1e w/ Glochids & Nurse Betty
In the fall of 2018, Scy1e hit the road alongside Glochids and Nurse Betty for the Weird Ear “Fantastic Voyage” Tour, a coast-hugging arc across the northeast and mid-Atlantic. The run was originally conceived as a ten-year anniversary of the Cycledelic Music Trip — and was even considered as a second long-distance bicycle tour. But for a constellation of reasons (logistics, time, entropy), wheels gave way to vehicles, and the tour evolved into something else...
Across DIY venues, art galleries, living rooms, and record stores, the tour became a moving container for improvised electronics, surreal stage setups, and clashing-but-cohesive sonic approaches. Every night felt different — an unfolding three-act play with cracked cassette decks, noise meditations, balloon-powered filters, and whatever else the van hadn’t crushed by accident.
